Testosterone and HCG Injections

Testosterone and HCG Injections

Getting older is a double-edged sword for many men. They find that their libido declines, their weight increases, and they slow down, become moody, and start forgetting things. That is just a small inkling of the changes that may benefit from learning more about supplemental testosterone and HCG injections. Each of these hormones has a role to play in the body. Testosterone is important for more than being a sex hormone. While it is the stuff that makes a man feel like a man, it also helps to strengthen your bones, build lean muscle, stimulate brain functions, protect the heart, support red blood cell formation, and other crucial functions.

HCG, on the other hand, is typically viewed as a female pregnancy hormone. It protects a woman’s muscles when she is dealing with nausea in the early stages of pregnancy by sending the body signals to pull calories needed for nurturing the growing fetus from stored fat rather than muscle tissue. What does HCG have to do with men? HCG helps to stimulate testosterone production in men suffering from Low T.

That is not the only benefit of HCG injections. When we start to talk about the HCG Diet and testosterone injections for men, we focus first on the weight loss aspect of HCG. Because weight gain is associated with Low T, it is beneficial to a male’s testosterone levels to lose those extra pounds around his midsection. This is accomplished at a rapid pace by embarking on the HCG Diet, which will work in much the same way as with a pregnant woman – it will stimulate the brain to send signals that the body is not hungry, even when on an 800 calorie a day diet. This will enable fat loss rather than muscle loss.

Can You Use Testosterone and HCG Together?

There are many reasons why a man might use HCG and testosterone injections at the same time. If you have Low T and are extremely overweight, you may want to jumpstart your weight loss. While you will lose some of those extra pounds with testosterone replacement therapy, it may take longer than you would like, or longer than what would be beneficial for your health, especially if you are dealing with some weight-related health concerns. The hormone specialist may prescribe the HCG Diet along with testosterone therapy to raise your testosterone levels while helping promote rapid weight loss.

The other reason why you may be prescribed HCG while on testosterone supplementation is to prevent the testes from stopping natural testosterone production. You see, when the brain notices an increase in testosterone levels in the bloodstream, it does not have the stimulus needed to support further testosterone production. The hypothalamus releases a hormone called GnRH – gonadotropin- releasing hormone that goes to the pituitary gland to signal the secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). LH is the hormone that stimulates the Leydig cells in the testes to produce testosterone. This stimulus decreases in men receiving testosterone replacement.

HCG mimics LH and stimulates the testes to return to their normal production of testosterone. HCG is used for this purpose as a short-term stimulus.

Different Functions of Testosterone and HCG

It is clear that there are dramatically different functions of testosterone and HCG for males, although both may ultimately accomplish the same goal. Low T is dangerous for the body – for both men and women. If undiagnosed and left untreated, it can lead to heart disease, obesity, type 2 diabetes, atherosclerosis, dementia, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, anemia, high cholesterol, and other serious health concerns.

That is why testosterone replacement therapy is crucial. HCG has a proper place in protecting the natural testosterone production for men receiving TRT. HCG can also help facilitate rapid weight loss for individuals having a hard time ridding their bodies of extra fat.
